How do graphics and music affect our reaction to a news story?

I think graphics and music affects our reaction to a news story because a particular music effect or specific graphic catches our attention. Especially when flicking through channels. For example the way that the media portrays the “War in Iraq” graphitical caption. That alone gives people something to visualize.

 What language can the media use to push a particular bias?

Im not sure of what being asked here but i’ll say one way to push something being said is to take what an interviewee says and twist it all around and chop up certain parts.

But personally I dont believe its just fox 2 that takes part in all of this. it could be every news station or channel.

My art photo represents what this guy does in the metro detroit area. I dont know his name but he goes around, if u pay attention, and spray paints or paints turtles on certain objects like brick walls, dumpsters, buildings, basketball rim backboards, etc… I guess it resembles the fact the he’s been in that location. i’ve seen these turtles alot, alomost everywhere. It also came to point when it was on the news because they were trying to find this guy. 

I believe that alot of alienation happens to come from the whereabouts of certain individuals. What I mean by this is that African Americans are usually portrayed as ghetto or in other words we’re expressed as wearing baggy clothing(males) and tight revealing clothing(females), we talk a certain way, live in a certain house, on television shows we never have money or not eligible 2 get it, and this isn’t correct at all. It’s all stereotypical. There are rich, well educated, and sophisticated blacks too. There are african americans who do own there on buisinesses, though of course as society has it setup, it takes us alot longer to get there but we’re all capable.

Alot of African American stereotypes consist of “blacks can’t do nothing but play sports and make music too make money”, when majority of this reasoning being we’re not allowed too. But not allowed to to the point meaning theres literally someone putting there foot down in the open, but meaning theres someone ”inside” the system that makes this possible. What I mean is there is always a series of extra steps to get to the same place as “the white man”. Blacks have to work twice as hard to even be considered half of what the first step was for ”the white man”…..
